Luis W. Alvarez Postdoctoral Fellowship in Computational Science
The National Energy Research Scientific Computing Center (NERSC) and the Computational Research Division at the U.S. Department of Energy’s Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory invite applications for the Luis W. Alvarez Fellowship in Computational Science. The fellowship allows recent graduates with a Ph.D. (or equivalent) to acquire further scientific training at one of the leading facilities for scientific computing and to develop professional maturity for independent research.
NERSC and CSE Co-Host a One-Day HPC Training Session
NERSC invites anyone associated with CSE program and Berkeley Lab, or a NERSC project to participate in a day of HPC training on Thursday, Oct. 2. from 8:30 a.m. until 5 p.m. The training is being held in conjunction with a meeting of the NERSC User Group, NUG.
Boot Camp 2008
The ParLab and CSE offered a 2-day short course on parallel computing on August 25 and 26, just before classes started this fall. The slides are available here. Based on demand, we will repeat this short course over several weeks, Tuesdays 3:30 - 5pm in the Wozniak Lounge, Soda Hall, starting Sept 9. We invite current and incoming grad students interested in parallelism, as well as researchers and faculty, to participate.
